Rules
Paintball is considered an extreme sport for a reason it is important that strict safty rules are closely followed
- Keep your mask on when in the field of play.
If you take your mask off before a game ends or before the all clear signal is given you are endangering yourself and encouraging others to do the same. We take this seriously. Taking your mask off will result in sitting out a game, second offense you’re done for the day. - Only shoot in designated areas.
Please do not come to one of our events, pull out your gun, screw on the tank and proceed to find innocent trees to pick on! We have target and staging areas for a reason. If you are caught shooting out of the designated areas you will be warned once, and then asked to leave the field. And no shooting or hiding behind our trailer. - Keep your barrel plug in at all times.
Every gun must a barrel plug/bag covering the barrel. The cover should only be removed for game play or chronographing. Anytime masks are off barrel plugs/bags should be on the gun 100% of the time. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you do not have a barrel sleeve the cost is $5. If you have a barrel plug it must fit your gun barrel snug. - No foul language.
We are a Christian based company. We believe in treating others with respect on and off the field. You do not have to be a Christian to attend our events, but you do have to respect what we believe. - No alcohol, smoking, or drugs.
You won’t play very good paintball if your drunk, can’t breath, or your high. Your also a risk to everyone else around you. - When you get shot, yell “I’m out” multiple times, VERY, VERY LOUD!!!!
Then put your barrel plug in, and hold your gun above your head as you walk off the field. Then get off the field as quickly as possible. When possible walk around people engaged in a shootout. We’ll do our best to get you off the field, but if you’re standing in between someone and their target they have the right to shoot you. - No littering.
Please be respectful and pick up after yourself. - No stealing.
If you find something laying around it probably belongs to someone. If one of your friends leaves something at the field talk with one of our staff before taking it home. If you leave the field with something that is not yours and that person accuses you of stealing, your the one that goes to JAIL! - Dead people don’t talk.
If you get out you can’t tell your buddy where everybody is at. After your shoot, if you give anyone on your team additional information they out and you may be asked to sit the next game. - No dry firing your gun in the staging area.
If you want to fire your gun you must step into the chronograph or field area, put your mask on. At no time should anyone be standing with a mask off test firing their gun or standing within 60 yards of anyone test firing a gun. At no time should anyone be the deadbox firing a gun. - Check First.
If you get hit by a paintball your expected to check yourself before you shoot another ball. For instance, if you stop shooting the moment you get hit, then if the other person is hit you may be permitted to stay in the game because you probably got the other person first. Above all what we don’t want to see is someone getting hit and playing through. Using the defence “I didn’t feel it” or “I didn’t know I was it” only works once or twice. We know that sometimes you don’t see and/or feel the hit, but if it’s happening all the time then your just cheating. Have integrity, don’t cheat the other guy. - 300 Feet Per Second
We spot check on a regular basis and there’s nothing wrong with calling for a chrono check on a player you think is shooting hot. If we catch you turning your velocity up in the middle of the game to above 300 FPS you’ll most likely be banned from our fields for life. - No hiding props
You can’t stuff a flag down your pants, in a pod pack, or underneath your shirt. Unless specifically given permission you cannot move an object that your are defending (i.e. cover it with leaves, put it in the corner) - Bonus Balling
Bonus balling is shooting someone more then what is necessary. This is usually obvious when it happens and is at the ref discretion to call it. If a player calls them-self out and you continue to shoot them that is bonus balling. Sometimes this will happen on accident, that doesn’t make it OK. If we think you’re doing in purpose, you’ll most likely be permanently banned from our fields. In an intense moment with several guns firing it is possible that a player may get hit 3-5 times or more without it being considered “bonus balling” - Sportsmanship
Several people have been asked to leave our field and not come back simply because they showed general lack of sportsmanship. In most cases they broke multiple rules. If you act threatening towards others you’ll be asked to leave. Paintball is about communication, most of the time that involves yelling. However, if your continually yelling insults at small kids you’ve never met, you’ll be asked leave. Everyone get a little upset from time to time, if you get out of hand a simple “I’m sorry” goes a long ways. - If a player is dead they cannot bring another player paintballs. They are permitted to give a player their gun or to take a players gun and refill a gun with air, not paint, and bring it back. If a player wants to give a teammate their gun they are permitted to walk the gun over to their teammate provided that teammate is within 10 yards. Once a player has left the field they are not allowed bring anything back onto the field. If a player is eliminated in the middle of a game, that player can leave their paintballs (i.e. podpack) where they were shoot at, allowing team members to access the paint. Please keep in mind that Big Pearl Paintball is not responsible for your stuff. If you leave a pod-pack full of paint on the field, be sure you know who’s in control of it and that if they leave the field they bring your stuff with them. If you were not given specific permission to use someone elses paintballs, don’t. Finding something on the field does not mean that it’s yours. This applies to rec/scenario woodsball only and cannot be used during any woodsball/speedball tournament. The spirit of this rule is to avoid a player being eliminated because they ran out of air or because their gun wasn’t working properly. We hope this will make game play more about skill and less about luck.
- You CANNOT physically tackle/hold/trip an oppossing player. You also cannot us your gun a sword or spear. It’s not football or gladiators! You may only gently touch and oppossing player with the end of your barrel.
- 15 Balls Per Second (BPS) limit. We do not allow full auto. In an intense moment we do not want players getting over shot. Limiting the rate of fire (ROF) is one way to ensure safer game play. The higher ROF/BPS the more expensive it is to play.
